Work and Holiday Visa

Working and Holiday Visa, referred to as WHV. Visa holders can engage in cultural exchange activities, work, tourism, etc. in Australia.

From the 2015-2016 financial year in Australia, the Australian government has promised to open 5,000 working holiday visas to mainland China each year from July 1 to June 30 of the following year.

 

Eligibility:

For Mainland China visa applicants:

  1. Hold a valid Chinese passport;
  2. Do not bring children into Australia;
  3. Be at least 18 years old but under 31 years old when the application is submitted
  4. Have a tertiary qualification, or have completed at least two years of undergraduate university study (acceptable tertiary qualifications, such as college graduate or adult undergraduate, etc., or bachelor degrees which can be checked in China’s “Xuexin Network” and recognized by China );
  5. Have at least Functional English (valid English scores within 12 months: such as IELTS with 5 points or above in each component / PTE Academic with 30 points in each component / TOEFL iBT with 32 points or above in each component / CAE with a score of 147 or above) ;
  6. Have enough money to support working and vacationing in Australia (the official requirement is AUD5,000);
  7. At the end of your stay, you have enough money to purchase the air ticket for your return trip or continuing travel (considering the fund requirements listed above, it is recommended to deposit RMB35,000-60,000);
  8. Have never been to Australia on a working holiday visa before;
  9. Meet the character and health requirements (no criminal record and no tuberculosis and other major diseases)
