RRV
Resident Return Visa (Subclass 155)

In Australia, whether you obtain your PR status through skilled immigration or employer-sponsored immigration program, you will find that it is not a real permanent residence visa, but a valid visa with a validity of 5 years, during which you can travel to and from Australia for multiple times.

When the visa nears its five-year limit, the visa holder has two options: naturalization or extending the visa.  If the holder is not willing to give up his/her Chinese nationality for the time being, he/she must apply for an extension of the visa. However, it should be noted that there are still many requirements for visa extension.

A 155 visa holder can travel to and from Australia as PR for several times within the validity period of the visa. 155 visa is also valid for 5 years, and the holder can apply for another 155 visa when it expires. In other words, if the holder decide not to naturalize after getting PR, then applying for 155 visa is the best way to keep PR status.
