Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190)

Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190) falls under the skilled migration visa category. Based on your profession, English ability, work experience, etc., you can be nominated by an Australian state/territory government, satisfying the points test, and receives the invitation to apply for the visa after the submission of EOI.  This visa is a combination of 176 visa and 886 visa. After successful immigration, you need to live in the sponsored state for two years before you can settle in other areas.

There will be 5 bonus points for obtaining a State Sponsorship. Therefore, according to the points criteria, the applicant who has reached 60 points can consider applying for a State Sponsorship, with the award of 5 points, to achieve the minimum of 65 points. Of course, the premise is that the applicant’s self-evaluation score has reached 60 points, in order to be eligible to apply for State Sponsorship. It should be noted that the State Sponsorship points and relatives  points cannot be repeatedly calculated.

 

Eligibility:
  1. Under 45 years old;
  2. Have an occupation on the MTSSL or STSOL, as well as on the SNOL, and have a suitable skills assessmentfor the occupation;
  3. Be nominated by an Australian state or territory;
  4. Score at least 60 points or more, and to be eligible for the award of 5 points and to be invited to apply for this visa;
  5. Have at least competent English(eg. IELTS: at least 6 for each of the 4 components, etc.);
  6. Meet the health and character requirements.

Although each state and territory government has different requirements for nomination applications, generally speaking, nominated occupation, English language skills and work experience are their key concerns. You need to have an occupation both on the MTSSL or STSOL and on the SNOL, and have a suitable skills assessment. You must have at least competent English, such as IELTS: at least 6 for each of the 4 components. Who can apply for 189 visa

Those applicants whose occupations are on the MTSSL or STSOL, scoring 60 points, can get 5 bonus points by applying for State nomination and then apply for this visa.
