Visa features and advantages:
Step 1: Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa(Subclass 491)
This visa focuses on a applicant’s academic qualifications, English language ability, work experience/professional skills, etc. The applicant passes the point test and applies for the nomination of the Australian state government to obtain a 5-year temporary visa.
Advantages:
- -Relaxed state nomination requirements
- -3 times more immigration occupations than Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189)
- -Independent and ample immigration quotas (not subject to federal quotas)
Elegibilidade:
- Under 45 years old
- Have relevant work experience
- Have an occupation on a relevant skilled occupation list
- Have at least Competent English
- Meet state nomination requirements
- EOI score of at least 65 points
Step 2: Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa (Subclass 191)
Only need to live in the designated regional area for three years and have a full-time (work more than 35 hours per week) tax-paying job, 491 visa holders can apply for 191 visa. The job does not need to be related to the nominated occupation. You can be self-employed, employed or involved in two part-time jobs.
Visa advantages:
-Only three years of residency requirement in the nominated state or territory
-Not subject to the nominated occupation, and low requirements for transferring to a permanent residence visa
-Free choice of the city of residence upon approval of permanent residence visa, without additional regional residence requirements
